Michele Plachter is a multi-talented designer known for the exceptional service and unique interiors she provides CEO’s, executives, entrepreneurs and other prominent professionals in Philadelphia Tri-State area and beyond.

Michele owns one of the mid-Atlantic’s fastest growing full service design firms, and her work has been featured on TV and in such national design publications as House Beautiful and Traditional Home. She is expanding her business to work on the primary and vacation homes, and small commercial projects of clients from coast to coast.

She has won service as well as design awards, and forms close relationships with her clients. Those clients use words like “detail-oriented, articulate, thoughtful and talented,” “very knowledgeable,” and “a joy to work with” to describe Michele, and “timeless” and “functional and gorgeous” to characterize her work.

“We work hard to create an ideal custom experience every time,” Michele says. “That means regular communication, resolving problems promptly, managing their budgets carefully, and working behind the scenes to insure that installations are seamless.”

What sets Michele apart is her home construction background and expertise, her personal involvement along with her staff in each project. Michele Plachter Design is backed by some of the region’s leading contractors, painters, architects, furniture specialists, electricians and other professionals, as well as an international network of vendors and suppliers.

What makes Michele’s success so remarkable is that she’s largely self taught. She launched her company after she and a co-owner dissolved their partnership in another design firm. Prior to that, she renovated and resold homes and apartment units, working closely with contractors and gaining invaluable hands on construction experience.

Her clients benefit from the problem solving, communication, negotiation and other skills she gained from her highly-successful earlier career in HR, sales and marketing for Aetna, Xerox, and U.S. Airways.

“We specialize in creating one-of-a-kind spaces for our clients, and we try to add a touch of whimsey to each project,” Michele points out. “And we go out of our way to make sure that everything we design is functional.”

Driven by the desire to create modern, beautiful, practical living spaces, Michele and her team are committed to bringing her clients’ dreams of beautiful living spaces to fruition.
