HISTORIC HAVERFORD

We call this the “Happy House”. This home was a pure joy to design from start to finish and an example of the ultimate client-designer collaboration. Our client’s wanted a fresh and happy take on traditional design to ensure the home paid homage to this 1921 historic stone beauty. Using vibrant color, we were able to accomplish the unexpected “WOW” that perfectly meshed with the clients style and personality. Classic yet colorful, traditional lines blended with unexpected colors creates this happy house.

The lacquer blue den with bright chartreuse accents is the more vibrant version of the living room which strikes subtly tones of green and blue. Tropical pink wallpaper in the dining room is only the beginning. Every room has a beautiful color story that integrates seamlessly throughout the house. The white kitchen is far from expected with bright pops of coral that creates seamlessness to the dining room.

This project is near and dear to my heart. While the transformation makes me proud, the owners of Historic Haverford remind me of the “why” behind my work. Seeing their faces in their new home for the first time is something I’ll never forget.
